MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Saturday, May 4
How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?
stlcardinals84: I am going to be overweight on the Padres and Diamondbacks from a stack perspective. Both of these teams are facing quality pitchers (Padres vs. Pfaadt and Diamondbacks vs. King), but it’s not like those pitchers are unhittable. Pfaadt can get knocked around at times, while King has regressed of late and has had major command issues in 2024 thus far. The pitchers are good enough that ownership will be modest here, and I really like the ceiling potential.
Krayton: As much as I like Tyler Glasnow even with a tougher matchup against the Braves, I will be looking to pay down at pitcher in some of my lineups in order to afford the stacks and bats that I like tonight. I will have Christian Scott in my pool on FD along with Michael King, Framber Valdez (DK), and John Means (DK). I typically have 5 lineups, and I expect to have Glasnow in a couple and then utilize cheaper pitchers in the other three. On FD, I will have quite a bit of exposure to Christian Scott.
tcsmith031: Tyler Glasnow is the obvious SP1 even in a matchup against the Braves, but there isn’t much clarity on the pitching side beyond him. I’m willing to embrace some risk and punt SP2 with the likes of Michael King, Dane Dunning, Andrew Abbott, and John Means in tournaments. That’ll be enough to get different, especially on DraftKings where the Glasnow/Valdez tandem will be extremely popular.
TJ Zwarych: The Braves have been scuffling a bit lately, and Tyler Glasnow is miles ahead of the competition tonight in terms of skill set. I’ll play close to 80% Glasnow tonight while ensuring I have some low-owned Braves stacks against him as well in my MME builds.
