MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Sunday, April 28

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

STLCardinals84: This slate is so odd for pitching that I am just going to lock button current AL Cy Young favorite Tarik Skubal. It’s not a day to mess around on the mound, and there isn’t a lot of “must have” offense. Even if he’s 50% owned, that feels like half the field is still making a mistake. Take the floor and ceiling of Skubal and rest easy.

Krayton: I will have a small pitching pool with Tarik Skubal at the top. However, I really like Albert Suarez today and his matchup against Oakland. He is just $8,100 on FD and $8,000 on DK. He will be my highest-owned pitcher. I also like Dane Dunning as a cheap value play on DK.

tcsmith031: This is a disgusting pitching slate, so I plan to roll the dice at that position today. Kevin Gausman, Andrew Abbott, Erick Fedde, and Dane Dunning all have tough matchups, but there really isn’t much safety on the pitching side. That limits the opportunity cost, so I like the idea of hunting favorable outcomes with pitchers that won’t be pulling a ton of ownership in GPPs.

TJ Zwarych: I’ll have 6 total pitchers in my 150-max build. Tarik Skubal and Dane Dunning will likely be my most popular, but I’ll make sure to be significantly overweight on Erick Fedde and Michael Wacha, my favorite low-owned tournament pitchers.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Robert Brown (aka Epignosis) was having lunch at a sports bar. A football game was on. He remarked to his wife that if he could have a second life, he’d like to be someone who enjoyed watching sports. That enjoyment began when he signed up for a fantasy football league that needed one more player. Since then, he has enjoyed playing NFL, NBA, and (especially) MLB DFS. When not teaching American literature, editing content for RotoGrinders (which he has done since 2019), or making lineups, Epignosis is rocking out or jazzing it up on one of several possible instruments.
