MLB DFS Lineup Advice Today

We have a large 12-game slate on tap. Even though there is no game in Coors Field (or Mexico City), as the weather creeps up in temperature across the country, so are the run totals. There are 24 offenses and 24 starting pitchers to choose from, so there will certainly be some surprises on the slate by the end of the night. Let’s sort through the slate and figure out what to do with our DFS lineups.

There are a number of top offenses in play, with teams like Houston, Philadelphia, Minnesota, Cleveland, and Arizona all projecting to gain ownership. I’ve got my top stack as the Dodgers, however, facing left-handed Jordan Montgomery in Arizona. The Dodgers rank 3rd in runs per game, 1st in wOBA, and 2nd in SLG% on the season, and they can get steals as well, ranking 12th in SBs. The team will get guaranteed plate appearances in the 9th inning on the road, and although the stack is pricey, I’m willing to spend down at pitcher to fit them into my lineup.

Mookie Betts is my favorite bat here, getting the platoon advantage against Montgomery and leading the league in wOBA while ranking 2nd in SLG%. I won’t shy away from Shohei Ohtani either, even though he is pricey and in a lefty-lefty matchup. Ohtani has a .250 ISO and .361 wOBA against LHP since the start of last season and is projected for single-digit ownership.
