PGA DFS Picks: DraftKings Expert Survey for the Zurich Classic

Who is your favorite team for cash games?

Notorious: Schauffele/Cantlay
STLCardinals84: Schauffele/Cantlay
hondizzle: Schauffele/Cantlay
ezellmt: Schauffele/Cantlay

How important to you is team chemistry? Are you more likely to roster teams that have played together in the past?

Notorious: Even though I won’t be fading all teams without chemistry, I certainly prefer the ones that do have some chemistry, whether that’s playing in this event in the past, playing college golf together, playing international competitions together, or even being related (we have three teams of brothers in the field).

STLCardinals84: This is difficult because it’s not something we can quantify with certainty on paper. However, given the unique format of this event, I will give an edge to teams that have played together here over the past few years. It’s a good item to use in a tiebreaking scenario if you need it. However, that doesn’t mean that I will completely ignore players without history together.

hondizzle: I think team chemistry can be very important. It is not a must to have in terms of being best friends but having some chemistry matters. I want to target some teams that the pairings make sense. Meaning there is a player connection within the team. Playing some rounds together prior to this format is a plus.

ezellmt: It’s important, but it’s also difficult to quantify. Other than using partnerships that have played together in the past, it’s difficult to know for sure. For example, people will give a significant bump to countrymen playing together like Lowry/McIlroy or Conners/Pendrith, but I think that narrative might be slightly overvalued overall.

Given the format of the event (i.e. 2 best-ball rounds, 2 alternate-shot rounds), do you prefer targeting teammates that have similar or contrasting skill sets?
