NBA DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Wednesday, May 1

Who is your favorite player to spend up for in cash games?

Notorious: Paul George
squirrelpatrol: Paul George
headChopper: James Harden

Who is your top contrarian play (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?

Notorious: Russell Westbrook – I expect the Clippers to be very popular, but Westbrook could get lost in the shuffle. Paul George, James Harden, Terance Mann, Norman Powell, and Ivica Zubac are all likely going to garner a significant amount of ownership. After only scoring 14 fantasy points in 22 minutes in Game 4, I doubt many will be running to play Westbrook. I’m willing to chase the upside, as he’s capable of playing 25+ minutes and averaging over a fantasy point per minute.

squirrelpatrol: Dereck Lively – It’s tough to get different with just 2 games to work with, but I’ll aim to get get over the field on the backup centers. Lively was +4 in his 17 minutes in Game 4 despite the Mavericks losing by 5 points, and starter Daniel Gafford has been dealing with a back injury.

headChopper: Jayson Tatum – The projected ownership on Tatum is not very high, relative to a 2-game slate. He may get lost in the high-dollar mix, as he is the 2nd most expensive player on both sites, and Luka Doncic projects 14+ points higher. Then there are a flurry of solid options far cheaper than Tatum. Several players are going to see a bigger boost for Boston with Kristaps Porzingis out, and Tatum may be one of the bigger beneficiaries.
