MLB DFS Picks: DraftKings & FanDuel Expert Survey for Tuesday, April 30

Who is your favorite hitter to spend up for in cash games?

stlcardinals84: Yordan Alvarez
squirrelpatrol: Mookie Betts
stevietpfl: Yordan Alvarez
boggslite: Kyle Tucker
eys819: Yordan Alvarez

How do you plan to beat the field of opponents? What tactic or strategy will set you apart?

stlcardinals84: I am going to take stands in a few spots. I will be significantly overweight on stacks of the Astros and Giants, while I will be underweight on the Phillies. On the pitching side, this is a deep-enough slate where I like taking some chances on lower-owned pitchers in GPP builds, namely Cole Ragans.

squirrelpatrol: With 12 games, I’ll spread out my exposure widely for multi-entry tournaments and avoid higher-owned spots in single-entry tournaments. Houston looks like one of the top offenses after scoring 20 runs in 2 games in Mexico City, but they scored just 6 runs in their 4 games before that. I’ll target lower-owned teams for stacks and pair those teams with cheaper, lower-owned pitchers.

stevietpfl: It’s a 12-game slate, and pOWN% seems to be spread out for hitting. Currently, Freddy Peralta is the pitcher with the highest pOWN%, and it’s an amazing spot. Mitch Keller and Luis Castillo are 3rd and 4th in pOWN%, and I want to be underweight on both. Keller hasn’t looked right all season, and his pOWN% comes directly from facing Oakland. Castillo finally looks better, but he draws a tough Atlanta offense. I’d much rather rake shots on a cheaper Jon Gray or Cole Ragans at lower pOWN%.

boggslite: I will likely look for some salary relief at pitcher, especially on DK where guys like Logan Webb and Jon Gray stand out as clear values given their recent form and matchups. I’ll play Freddy Peralta where I can, but I don’t love many cheap bats. So my focus will be building around my bats, starting with the Astros, Phillies, and D-backs.

eys819: Freddy Peralta and Mitch Keller have great matchups, but they are also coming with big pOWN% numbers for a huge slate. I will be underweight both and potentially fading Keller altogether. My biggest overweight stance will be on a few mid-range pitchers that have big upside, like Cole Ragans, Jon Gray, and Sean Manaea. The Astros look to be the most popular offense, and I won’t take a stand on them in either direction. I will have more exposure than the field to the Brewers, Phillies, and underpriced Twins.

Who is your top overall pitcher (when considering price, matchup, projected ownership, etc.) on the board and why?
